CHINA - Long Jing "Dragon Well"
Descriptions
Artisanal production
75 °C - approximately 4 min
Grown in China (Zhejiang), hand-picked at an altitude of 1000m in spring.
An absolute must, Long Jing is the most consumed tea in China since Emperor Qianlong (around 1750), who fell under its spell during a trip and elevated it to the rank of national treasure. Its nickname "dragon well" was born from the legend of a Taoist who spotted the hiding place of a dragon and implored it to make it rain. It is this wish granted that supposedly made this variety with nutty notes grow.
This protected designation of origin tea (Zhejiang region) was harvested in late March, before Qing Ming, making it the most prized Long Jing among connoisseurs.
Rich in caffeine and L-theanine, this tea will bring you energy and mental stimulation throughout the day. Highly endowed with antioxidants, it would help slow down skin aging.
